• Tues 26 Sep 2017 - 19.45 at Norfolk Arms meeting to discuss progress, have a pint and a chat - all welcome
The 'Agatha Christie in the North' event on Sat 20 May 2017 at Upper House Farm, Hayfield was a fantastic success, raised several hundred pounds and we now have an 'Agatha' section on our website!
• In 2017 we were awarded a grant to investigate the feasibility of a new waiting room and community hub! This is now underway: in July we received a report about community involvement. Designs are being prepared and we are consulting the community about what should be provided. This is very exciting. Contact us if you have ideas or want to get involved. It is very exciting.
To help our campaigning, we carry out an annual passenger count on 23 November 2016 - results here!
We carried out a passenger survey in July 2017 so we know what improvements people want to see at the station. Making the crossing of Brabyns Brow(outside the station) safer and more convenient came out as a high priority.
See NEWS section for more on these stories.
See our 'history' section for a 1960 picture of a bus at the station - if you can bear the excitement!
NEXT WORKDAY Saturday 2 September 2017 10am, Marple Station
We are a friendly community group formed in 2014 to improve and promote Marple station. For more information, ring Pete on 07505 22 1405.
We won 2016 'Most Improved Station in Cheshire'. Our achievements are a great reflection on our enthusiastic band of volunteers and helpers - see NEWS pages.
