Do you have a few hours to spare to help improve Marple? We are a small friendly group that always welcomes new people. Membership is free. Anyone can attend our meetings, usually the second Tuesday of the month at 19.45 in the Northumberland Arms (please check our news pages for the date and location of the next one), and also for our regular work days - usually held on a Saturday morning. If you would like to find out more about the group and volunteering with us, please email [email protected]. You can also ring the Chair - Peter Black on 07505 22 1405. If you are thinking about coming along we will make sure someone has a chat with you beforehand and greets you at the meeting or work party.
In 2015 we celebrated both the 150th anniversary of the station, the 125th anniversary of Agatha Christie (remember Miss Marple?), worked with local schools, gardened, painted, provided art work and history panels, promoted trains, lobbied for station improvements (a cycle shed is one result) and much more. work parties will be held at the station - check the news section for the next one.
